It was quiet. Very quiet!
Even while I was cooking dinner and my partner was hammering nails outside the kitchen window, it was quiet.
Corban left, for camp on Tuesday morning. Loaded up with a jam backed bag, his pillow, sleeping bag and a massive jacket and headed off for school camp at Jindabyne.
This was his second time at camp. Last year when we picked him up he was wearing his pj’s and shoes but no socks!
So this year I was impressed, proud and yes Impressed!
Yesterday Mili and I picked Corban up from school after his 2 days at camp (I’d show you some photos BUT I forgot the camera!)
Camp was a success.
He was wearing daytime clothes.
He had socks and shoes on.
All the items that he took, retunrned home.
We talked about team work being the focus of the activities on camp. I was happy to hear, that Corban worked well in his team.
Everything Corban has said about camp has been positive.
In Archery he hit the red circle which means back at school next week he gets to be DJ for the day at school!!!
This is something he has been working on achieving for the last 9 weeks, since the first day of the school year when his teacher laid out the rewards system for the class.
Camp Was A Success. Along with the memories of ten year old fun, Corban can take away some new skills in independence, team building, Archery, green machine driving and the list goes on.
